It's a Wave workshop

Join the Twisted Science team to take a look at light and sound waves. Create funky fireworks glasses that split white light into all the colours of the rainbow and construct a quacking cup to amplify sound waves.

Calling all budding historians! Use your detective skills to solve the history mysteries!

 

 

 

'How to be a history detective' workshop (for ages six to 10)

Work together with professional historian Alicia Cerreto to find clues to a story from history. Look at old photos and find out more about how to discover the past.

Do you dig dinosaurs? Come along to Elsternwick Library for Dino Day. They'll be plenty of activities for kids with craft and workshops to suit every budding paleontologist. Elsternwick Library is bringing fossils to the forefront!

 

Fossil Hunters

Calling all young paleontologists! Join Labcoat Learning to make plaster moulds of fossilised shells and shark teeth. As the plaster dries, we will explore how fossils form, open rocks to unveil fossils seen for the first time and catch some ‘living fossils’ that have been around for 250 Million years.

Diggin' Dinosaurs

Have a roaring great time as you learn about dinosaurs in this hands-on workshop. You can check out a life size replica of a Velociraptor skull and come face-to-face with T-Rex. You can work like a real paleontologist as you dig out and analyse the specimens found, find out how fossils are formed and make casts of ancient creatures to keep.

THE TOBY THE T REX SHOW

Standing up to 2.5 metres tall and four metres long, he walks, blinks, and ROARRS giving a fully interactive dinosaur experience for both young and old. The Toby The T Rex Show is jam packed with singing and dancing, games and interactive play with the dinosaur and handlers. Kids will be ‘roaring’ with laughter.
