McKinnon Library and Youth Services

Our pop up library and youth services, conveniently located next to the McKinnon railway station is in service while Bentleigh Library is being redeveloped. The new Bentleigh Library and Youth Hub project is expected to be completed in mid-2022.

Opening hours 


Monday to Thursday 8.30am-7pm; Friday 8.30am-6pm; Saturday 10am-4pm; Sunday 12pm-5pm.

Enjoy your favourite library collections including a large fiction collection, a variety of children’s books, new DVDs, and current magazines. Public PCs, wi-fi, study area, lounge seating, and printing/copying facilities will also be available. If you can’t find what you need, library staff will be happy to bring it over from another library at no charge. You are invited to also use our libraries at Carnegie, Caulfield and Elsternwick. Returns chutes are available to use.

Youth Services 

Monday to Thursday 1pm-6pm; Friday 1pm-5pm.

Council's Youth Services will provide programs, information, referrals, one-to-one support with youth workers and youth leadership training for young people aged 10 to 25 years.
