Join Ross McMullin, award-winning historian and biographer, as he discusses his work, Farewell, Dear People: Biographies of Australia’s Lost Generation.
This book highlights the forgotten stories of 10 gifted Australians of outstanding potential, from diverse backgrounds and specialties, whose deaths during World War I exemplified Australia’s lost generation from that conflict. They include an Antarctic explorer, a renowned winemaker, a Rhodes scholar, a rising Labor star, a brilliant footballer, and an internationally acclaimed medical researcher.
Farewell, Dear People was awarded the Prime Minister’s Prize for Australian History and the National Cultural Award.
