Carnegie Library and Community Centre - Tech Room
A reminder that all Council Libraries will be closed on Friday 29 September for the AFL Grand Final Public Holiday. Return chutes remain open for your convenience and our digital library is always open.
Are you considering an electric induction cooktop but not sure if it’s right for you? Do you want to reduce food waste too?
At this cooking demonstration, staff from Open Table will teach you how to reduce food waste and make delicious meals on an induction cook top.
Home comfort and energy advisor, Tim Forcey will share his expertise on switching to an all-electric home including induction cooking, heat pump heating, cooling and hot water systems. Tim will stay after the workshop to answer any questions.
We'll be making leftover fritters for you to try and do some pickling, so bring a jar if you'd like to take some home.
Note that induction cooktops generate electromagnetic fields and can interfere with the performance of cardiac pacemakers (British Heart Foundation).
Free event. Bookings required.
