The Worst Street in London

Author Fiona Rule will take us on a journey into Dorset Street’s terrible past, uncovering the story of why it became the worst street in London.

Halfway up Commercial Street, one block away from Spitalfields Market, stands an unremarkable office block. The average pedestrian wouldn’t even notice it, but unlikely though it may seem, this was once the site of Dorset Street – the most notorious thoroughfare in England’s capital; the resort of Protestant firebrands, thieves, con-men, pimps, prostitutes and murderers and most notably Jack the Ripper.

Author Fiona Rule will take us on a journey into Dorset Street’s terrible past, uncovering the story of why it became the worst street in London.
