We support the Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge which encourages children to read a set number of books. They record their efforts online and keep track of their progress. Children who meet their reading targets receive a certificate signed by the Victorian Premier and former Premiers.

The popular program is open to Victorians from birth to Year 10.
Regular reading from an early age is vital for success at school - and has lifelong benefits. The Challenge encourages your child to read more and promotes a love of reading.
Books are added to the reading lists regularly by an expert panel which includes teachers and librarians.

You should be able to find many suitable books in your school, at home and at Glen Eira Libraries. Books not listed on the Challenge book list can also be added as personal choice books.
