LABOUR DAY PUBLIC HOLIDAY:

All library branches will be closed on Monday 9 March for the Labour Day Public Holiday. Return chutes remain open for your convenience and remember our digital library is always available, as well as our Library Locker at Carnegie. All branches reopen as normal on Tuesday 10 March.

Tales with Tails

Step into a world of paws and pages and unleash the joy of reading!

Join us for a six-week program (held during school terms) where young readers will grow in confidence, reduce their reading anxiety, and fall in love with books —with a little help from our furry friends.

Children will build their literacy skills by reading aloud to trained therapy dogs Harvey and Denver, in a calm, supportive, and non-judgmental space guided by our program facilitator and our children’s librarians.

It’s a tail-wagging way to increase your child’s interest and engagement, inspire imagination, reduce stress and make literacy and learning fun!

Spots are limited. Register your interest via our Expression of Interest, and a member of the team will be in touch if you’re selected for the program.
