Ready to take your writing skills further?
How do you write fiction that is based on a real event? What are your obligations? How much research should you do? In this writing workshop, author Kate Mildenhall draws on her personal experiences on how she came to write her novel “Skylarking” based on a true story that she came across when inadvertently camping next to a grave.
This session will cover finding stories in history, research tips, challenges of fiction VS facts and some reading recommendations.
Kate Mildenhall is the author of Skylarking, The Mother Fault, The Hummingbird Effect and her latest novel The Hiding Place, as well as children’s book To Stir With Love. The’s also a writing teacher and a podcaster.
