Period products are a basic necessity—but for one in five people, affording them is a struggle. When people go without, the impacts can be significant: missed school, skipped work, poor mental and physical health, and social withdrawal.

Now, as part of a statewide Victorian Government initiative, free tampon and pad dispensers have landed in all our library branches. These machines provide easy, discreet access to essential products—helping break down barriers to participation and promoting health, equity, and dignity for all.
