CATALOGUE MAINTENANCE:

Our library catalogue will be temporarily unavailable on Tuesday 10 November while essential system maintenance is carried out. During this time, access to BorrowBox and Kanopy may also be affected, and some features of the library app may be unavailable.

We'll let you know as soon as services are back up and running.

The Sewing Circle

A relaxed, supported space to sew and create.

JANUARY 2027 SESSION:

There will be no Sewing Circle held in January 2027.

Dark haired young woman using a modern sewing machine.

Love to sew, but don’t have space for a machine at home? Pull up a chair at our monthly sewing circle and make use of our public sewing machines to work on your own projects in a shared creative space.

This is not a beginner class—participants should have basic sewing skills and be able to work independently, though an experienced facilitator will be on hand to offer tips and guidance.

Second Saturday of the month (except January)
Carnegie Library and Community Centre
11am—2pm

For ages 18 and up.
Free. Bookings not required. Registration upon arrival.
First-time attendees will be required to sign a waiver form before using public sewing machines and equipment.

Limited capacity and wait times may apply.
Time limits apply during busy periods.
